CaliforniaKids provides basic preventive and primary health care services for children ages 2 through 18. A minimal co-payment is required for office visits, prescription drugs, preventive dental and behavior health services. The monthly cost is $49 per child. Healthy Families offers a variety of health, dental, vision and prescription plans for children up to their 19th birthday. Children must meet citizenship and immigration requirements. Must not be eligible for no-cost Medi-Cal. A minimal co-payment is required for office visits, prescription drugs, preventive dental and behavior health services. The monthly premium ranges from $13 to $72 per family.

CHDP provides free medical and dental check-ups for children ages 0 through age 20 with full scope Medi-Cal. Further diagnosis and treatment will be covered as long as child is on Medi-Cal.

CCS is a state program that helps children with certain diseases, physical limitations or chronic health problems for individuals up to age 21. Income requirements must be met and you can still get CCS if you have Medi-Cal or Healthy Families.

AIM offers comprehensive benefits including pregnancy and non-pregnancy related services. To qualify for AIM you must be pregnant but not more than 30 weeks pregnant as of the application date. Applicants must be a California resident and cannot be enrolled in other programs. AIM health plans available in Tulare County are Health Net HMO or Anthem Blue Cross EPO.

MCAH provides comprehensive, family-oriented, integrated health services for women and children. Programs within MCAH include: Outreach for a Healthy Pregnancy (OFHP), Prenatal Substance Exposure Program (PSEP), High Risk Infant Program (HRIP), Drug Exposed Infant Program (DEIP).
